Range: $59,741.00-$120,949.00 Annually*

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Manages and supervises City/County GIS Program with staff; initiates and/or recommends personnel actions such as hiring, evaluating, promoting, transferring and disciplining staff; determines or interprets work procedures for the staff by assigning specific duties and assisting staff in solving work problems; develops personnel through needed training and professional development; provides technical expertise; determines technical and staffing requirements, schedules and budgets; responsible for communicating Program goals and objectives and status to executive and upper management; manages and coordinates the TALLAHASSEE-Leon GIS interlocal and PETS Interlocal Agreements; troubleshoots  and resolves issues relative to GIS and PETS implementations with City, County Departments and Constitutional Offices;  plans, organizes, designs, and implements solutions for data and application development and quality control; designs and establishes standards for the GIS Community to adopt for the development and maintenance of GIS data; acts as staff support to the GIS Executive Committee and the GIS and PETS Steering Committees; schedules and develops the agendas for the quarterly and monthly meetings with the GIS Executive and GIS and PETS Steering Committees, respectively; participates on and with internal and Interlocal process improvement teams.

REQUIREMENTS:  Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Planning, or a related field and eight years of  related experience, two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity.  Must pass a Class 2 background check prior to employment.
