EQUIPMENT MECHANIC
Public Works/Fleet Management
Salary Range: $10.50-$20.37 Hourly*

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs maintenance and repairs on cars and light vehicles; repairs heavy and construction equipment, and miscellaneous equipment; provides road/field service repair; procures parts, materials, and supplies; consults with shop vendors and manufacturers; conducts stick tanks- oil, fuel and gasoline inventory; cleans service vehicles and work area; identifies and reports neglected and abused vehicles and/or equipment; prepares accident reports; attends required training; supervises alternative service workers; maintains a minimum productivity ratio of 85 percent; performs a minimum of 15 preventative maintenance services per month; performs other miscellaneous tasks as required.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires graduation from high school or equivalent and two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.  ASE Certification is preferred.  Must possess a valid Driver's License and a favorable driving record at time of hire.  Must secure a Class “A” Florida Commercial Driver's License within six months of hire.
